Hello, my name is Rick Sharples.
I have been battling cancer for the past several years and during that time, I have received excellent care from the Simcoe/Muskoka Regional Cancer Center at the Royal Victoria Hospital in Barrie Ontario, as well as many others in our community have.
I have decided that I wanted to give back, but knowing I couldn’t make much of a difference on my own, I decided to organize the Cookstown Cancer Classic Car Show. It is my hope to involve as many local businesses and industries in the Simcoe Muskoka area as possible, (this invitation is extended to anyone outside this area that would like to help make a difference).
Most of us, if not all, have known someone close that has had to deal with cancer, lets make this a community effort and get behind this event. This event is being held right here in Cookstown at the Georgian Bay Steam Show property on Victoria Street (line 15).
The Georgian Bay Steam Show, The RVH Foundation, The Innisfil Beach Cruisers, and Yesterday’s Speedways are all working together to host this Inaugural Event.
We are looking for sponsorships, door prizes, donations etc…
All proceeds from this event will go to the Simcoe/Muskoka Regional Cancer Center.
